About Us

Finmentor Money Smart Organization is a registered U.S. nonprofit dedicated to promoting financial literacy education for students and community members in Orange County, California.

The organization was originally founded by female college students from Saddleback College who attended the 2023 National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) at the University of Maryland, College Park. Inspired by financial literacy education and community service, they returned to campus and launched an initiative focused on financial literacy education for first-generation and minority students.

Over time, that initiative developed into Finmentor, welcoming not only Saddleback College students but also community members and students from across Orange County.
